I'd love to go back to Italy, that's where my husband is from. It's so peaceful & beautiful there. My husband did say when I am feeling better we are going somewhere I just don't know where yet. I also would like to go to Canada to see Niagra Falls also...Something to look forward to I guess!!!

My wife had long wanted to go look at Lighthouses along the east coast, mainly Portland Head Lighthouse in Maine. While we were waiting for the Oncologist to see me 4 years ago I told her to pack up we were going. So we spent a couple weeks looking at Lighthouses and visiting relatives.

Have you noticed that what you always said you didn't have time to do, now you can find a way to do it?

I would absolutely love to go on a trip to Scotland!!! Find one of those beautiful fields they have and sleep under a tree....Yep...that would be AWESOME!!!

Greg, a Lighthouse trip would be fun. Me being the horror movie guy, I love the movie "The Ring". In that movie that use the Yaquina Head Light quite a bit. Back in the day it was called the Cape Foulweather Lighthouse. It's on the Oregon Coast. I'd love to go check it out.

I won a 4day/3night stay at Talantis in the Bahamas at a Silent Auction so I will be going there soon. I am also going to Vegas for the OMG2103 Young Adult Cancer Survivor Summit which I am really excited about. My plan in life is to visit all 59 National Parks and I had to put that on hold for a bit to complete my treatment but I will try to get to some more this year.

Great post!! My first trip to Italy was stupendous. I took the night train from Paris arriving in Venice at about 8:30am. March (never go to Venice in warm months). I got off the train, walked the platform and through the station and found myself immediately on the Grand Canal staring at a beautiful, Palladian chapel. You can see the exterior of the train station (very mid century) in "The talented Mr. Ripley." It rained all day which meant the streets, churches, museums, coffee bars, etc., were quiet. I now understand when people say "See Venice and Die." (which shouldn't be taken literally--grin). Its otherworldly.

I've never made it to Scandinavia. I think that's my next trip.

My wife and I have discoveresd cruises (we have been to Alaska twice) are great for cancer patients and thier care givers. I would love to do a Panama Canal cruise, a Hawaii a New England Cruise or even a cruise to a more exotic place. Maybe we should look at setting up a WhatNext cruise. Wouldn't it be fun to have chemo on the lido deck in the sun????

I loved Italy, especially Assisi. I would love to wake up a morning or two in a well appointed, remote cabin in the Smokey Mountains any time except winter.

A cruise around the world!! Gosh, who knows how much that would cost! :D It's good to dream! Someday, someday. I would also love to go visit my family in Guatemala, with my kids. This time go as a tourist and visit all the volcanoes, Mayan ruins, lakes, and most visited tourist towns and cities. I was born in Guatemala and left when I was 7 yrs old so I didn't get to see a lot of my country. Different situations haven't allowed for visits but definitely something to dream and try to make happen. :)
