My recommendation would be that you focus on posting your questions rather than complaining about the lack of help. We are all happy to provide whatever help, experiences and information that we can, but we aren't mind readers that know what it is you are looking for.

By that statement, it is apparent you do not understand the site, and based on your participation, or lack of, you have not tried to get any answers, help, or what ever it is you are searching for.

Good luck to you in your fight, it is not easy fighting cancer, I've been there three times, recently with a similar type as you, I too lost my voice, serious problems, etc. If you have questions, need help, please ask, you will see there are many willing to help.

Good luck, I wish you the best.

I hope you'll keep looking on this site. I've received lots of help and support from reading other people's questions, answers and experiences, as well as communicated with some people directly.

I think Part of Karen G's role is to pose thought-provoking questions, the answer to which might be of help to most people dealing with cancer. I've found the responses to those questions can provide a lot of insight into how to help my husband deal with his cancer as well as how to cope with it myself.

As with any forum of this type, you get out of it what you want. There are no cookie cutter advise for cancer. I don't see this site as self serving at all. My wife has Vulvar cancer and if you click on vulvar cancer on the right side bar you will notice that the only post are mine due to the rarit y of this cancer, yet all the answers that people posted to my questions were read and considered. Were they all helpful, maybe not, but people did take time to respond in a helpful manner. I guess you could say I used this information in a self serving manner. It served me and my wife. Cancer is a tough battle and any information and I mean any information may be helpful or at least reassuring to the person posting questions. I wish you well in your journey.

      dear bcoll,
cancer is journey filled with hope. it's a life altering experience.

it takes a great talent to write well and to be able to express thoughts clearly to conway your message.

i would love to learn this skill....

for some certain abbriviations make more sense, then other things. in cancer certain things are complex. i didn't know about "look good feel better" program untill i have googled it online, and i have been using google search for anything and everything i need. people may throw in suggestions of what worked for them and you read throw it and whatever makes sense you do it.

this program is hard to describe it has options so whomever is suggesting it meant well just details u need to read from the original site because it's hard to translate everything they offer. but in short to sum it up they give free wig and make up OR u can just get a disc and follow along with your make up (which i did)

this program was very helpful to me, i put some make up on and makes me feel like human being instead of very sick person i was into make up prior to being sick but this disc taught me some tricks and i choose/use my own make up.

      i found it very helpful.

someone i know always says "love and light", so wishing you blessed day and love and light to you.

I want to apologize for my original cockiness and or arrogance. It’s has nothing to do with the site or the people on it – it’s about me. I’m still angry or frustrated at times.

Understood. Having cancer is about as frustrating and anger provoking as it gets. I hope you stick around with us.
