    I'm low income newly diagnosed uninsured and found a center that's willing to treat me but income has stopped and called plenty of hotels and asked for lodging for my 3 day biopsy and imaging any recommendations

      have you called the ACS?? they have places for cancer patients and caregivers to stay. In Tampa, Hope Lodge is right next to Moffitt Cancer Center..and they even provide transportation to and from the lodge. So do call the ACS.

      Yes, there is a hope lodge in NY too. I would also ask the Livestrong network. They may be able to connect you with a Y in the area.

      There are not any Hope Lodges in California, however there are "Joe's Houses" they are similar and partner with ACS here is a link to the site that you can find one in CA. http://www.joeshouse.org/default.aspx?tabid=55&state=California

      Ask the hospital immediately for a social worker or cancer navigator, they should know immediately if there is local housing available and how to apply for it.
