Loss of appetite and sweet tooth

Do either of these come back after treatment? Have three more R-chop chemo's left.

YES!!!! They absolutely come back. At least they did for me. Right now, your taste buds are all types of messed up. Your mouth probably taste like you've been sucking on nickels. For most, this corrects itself after chemo.

Same for me as TC, I lost taste and had sores in my mouth. After treatment was over things slowly started to return. Some may not be the same though. And you may have different tastes for different things. I now eat things and like them, that I didn't before.

Boy howdy, R-CHOP made me SO hungry. However, once the steroid portion of the regimen passed, I did have a fairly large drop in appetite. On other chemo regimens I have experienced a much larger drop in hunger. Talk to your doctor about it-- there are quite a few options depending on what's going on. I can't remember the name of the medicine I took, but I was pretty hungry after taking it :)

      The Miseries

I refer to the chemo’s side effects as The Miseries. These include – Agonies – Tortures – Sufferings – Torments – Pains and Woes. I just call’em as you feel’um that is what I do.

While I carry on this tirade I tell each symptom get me while you can because you are not going to be around for very long! You miseries are just a temporary inconvenience on my way to wellness.

I asked my doctor what happens after my last treatment of CHOP? His reply was each week just gets better and better.

Hold that thought and hang in there!

I also had R-CHOP, your appetite will come back, I was very careful with what I ate because if I ate soemthing while I was nauseus, I wouldn't want it again, so I didn't eat any of my favorite foods! Don't worry, your appetite will come back with a vengence!
