Lymph nodes in groin area positive for cancer, what to expect?

last 2 weeks of radiation I noticed swelling in left groin area. Biopsy positive for same bladder cancer. Surgery recommended for removal. Anyone gone through this. How did it go?

Hi cofeenomore, I don't have the same cancer as you, I have stage 4 cervical cancer. I've gone through surgery (hysterectomy), they also removed affected lymph nodes. I've gone throught external & internal radiation as well as chemo. I'm ok, I've had rough days but many more good days. :) I think pretty much all of us have gone through the "How will this affect me?"many times during our journey. It's that fear of the unknown. Point is, no matter what, believe in your heart that you will get through this. Also don't forget we're all here for you. Rooting for you. Hugs.
