    mastectomy clothing

Has Anyone here made their own camisoles or tank tops/ dresses? What kind of 'normal tops' should I look for that would be easy to retrofit for inserts? I am looking to save money and have stylish options after a bilateral mastectomy.

I had recon with TE put in at time of bilat and them silicone implants, so I don't wear a bra.....if I didn't have recon, I think, for me I would just go au naturale!!! I hope some gals will stop by with good recommendations for you....

No, I do not want any medically unneccessary surgery. I may use breast forms when going out. It all seems rather expensive. I am a veteran, receiving care at a VA hospital, so I don't know that I will have 'insurance covered' prosethese or wigs. Just trying to do things ahead of the surgery/chemo, when I still feel well.
