The best place for you to start will probably be the Internation Myeloma Foundation.

Check out my website: www.cancerkaleidoscope.com.
There are a few links there on the Resources page - for financial assistance. Such as the Angel Foundation: http://www.mnangel.org/, and Partnership for Rx Asisstance: http://www.pparx.org/

I'd suggest talking to The American Cancer Society... Cancer Research... her local Welfare Assistance, etc. Then I'd suggest that you both ask God for assistance. For there is a song... "He can make a way".... and trust me.... He's led me through things I never thought I was strong enough to accomplish... I am here 7 years after being told I had about 6 months back in 2006.

Did she re-evaluate her Medicare options with open enrollment? She can accept standard Medicare or using Medicare.gov look at other available plans in her area. Many have $0 premiums but may provide better coverage.

Does your Mom have Medicare? Part A and B? She also NEEDS MC part D, if she can afford it. Does she receive Social Security? The payment for her MC pat A/B can automatically be taken out of her SS check each month....and believe me it is the best insurance she will ever have! If this is all new to her, go with her to the SS office in her area and speak with them to get all of this started ASAP. They really are very helpful. Don't forget to bring her birth cert, drivers licenses. I may be telling you stuff you already know but ........
Also the American Cancer society is a great help. Maybe her hospital can help with finances.
If they understand her situation, it helps so much. Peace and good luck. Moonbeam
