    My Mom was diagnosed a month ago with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma. She started her first round of Chemo today and I am looking to see if anyone knows of any kind of support groups in San Diego for family members going through this?

      I recommended Gilda's Club to my daughter, but it appears that the closest one to you is over 100 miles away. Ugh.

      I know that my, and a lot of other cancer centers and affiliated hospitals offer this type of group at no cost.

      I live in Lou.Ky & I go to Gildas ,there is also a cancer resource center that may help ,they offer info ,massages ,wigs & any type of info to guide you through the Journey .call the Drs office & ask for suggestions & call your local social service office & they have books with all types of info .

      In San Diego there is an organization called Lung Cancer Alliance..you can find them at www.lungcanceralliance.org. Mike Steves Stage IV survivor is sponsoring a walk on April 22. The website or contacts will be able to answer all your questions they have been very helpful to me. I have Stage IV NCLC - Non smoker ...treatable not curable
