My oncologist has also suggested genetic testing. I will see her later this month.

I just got my results and they showed no mutations. Glad I got it done, but the test were very expensive.

I recently heard of this test when a friend of mine, ( who's sister is stage 4 colon cancer with mets to the liver and lungs), had a dr's appt and he suggested she be tested due to family history of cancer. She is going to have it and is trying to persuade her other siblings to do the genetic test also.

Just had mine today. The genetic person told me that if I have this syndrome, I may want to get a colectomy instead of just getting the tumor resected.

I'll let you know what I find out.
