Only use Letrozele and no chemo?

Has anyone just used letrozele for ER+ breast cancer and no chemo. If so, what was your experience?

That has been my plan of attack... Mastectomy Dec.2014 no chemo or radiation, it was suggested, but I declined. My mammoprint came back low risk, 10%chance of reoccurrence in 10 years. They did remove all axilla nodes,7 positive. Have taken letrozole since and no real issues except some joint pain. 2 sets of ct scans so far and no signs of cancer. I will be checked every 3 months for 5 years. Saying my prayers.

Yes....my oncoD test was 13. Yur doctor weighs the chance if reoccurrence with the possible side effects of chemo. Because my score was low there was not a need for chemo. I was put on Letrozole but had so many side effects that my doctor took me off of it. Everyone is different you may not have side effects. Good luck and big hugs!!!

Lorie...I looked up this Dr. Suba. I found a research assistant by that name in Budapest. She works in oncology. Obviously standards used in Budapest are different than the US. Take care!

I'm on Letrozole (Femara) now. My oncologist did the Onco DX test and I came back a low risk it would come back so I said no to chemo. She said since I didn't want chemo, I really needed to do radiation, which I wasn't too thrilled about either but figured it was the lesser of 2 evils. So, I sucked it up and did 5 1/2 weeks of radiation to help prevent it from coming back even though I had a mastectomy and reconstruction right away. Now, I'd like to just put it all behind me and forget about it. But, I realize that's not likely to happen since I just had my 1 year anniversary from the mastectomy and reconstruction yesterday. I'm doing well though.

I had a bilateral mastectomy in January 2013. Cancer was 100% ER positive. Began taking letrozele and have had not chemo. Coming up on three years with no sign of the "C" monster. Praying the same for you

Thanks for all of your responses. I was sick with a virus so not up to responding.

I had bad reactions to chemo infusions, then started on Letrozele in March and broke out in tiny acne spots. When my oncologist added Ibrance, by the 4th cycle my face broke out so bad I looked like I had leprosy. She sent me to a dermatologist and they stopped the Ibrance. My face still breaks out so the dermatologist is always starting me on another cream. My oncologist said I was the only one who broke out in a bad rash. I am guessing it's the letrozele causing the new rash since that's the only drug I am on right now.
