I would ask your doctor. What works for me is Trazadone for sleep. It shuts off your brain so you can get a good night's sleep.

For pain, maybe try Motrin PM. That will help with pain and sleep.

Eat that turkey. The meat is rich in tryptophan (SP?) which puts people to sleep.

Are you willing to drink tea?

Vallerian (from which they make vallium) used to knock be out before I was done with the cuppa. But it is hard on the liver so I looked elsewhere.

The herb tarragon makes a delightful tea that will promote a deep and restful sleep. A cup or two will do ya.

If you prefer pills, OTC, a cap or two of 5-HTP will aid you once you actually lay down and close your eyes and breathe deeply and regularly.

If you like, you can contact me through my website and remind me that you need rest. I will happily send you a sample of tarragon tea and hope you will eventually purchase from me or be over and done with this little life glitch.

      Happy holidays.

Acupuncture worked for me for both and sleeplessness. Also hypnotism by a medically certified hypnotist worked for me. My medical center employs a medical hypnotist There are also meditation tapes online as well as relaxing music that can be down loaded to an MP3 player or any other device.

I take prescription sleeping pills but also Zquil and it helps me sleep. I also put a few drops of lavender on my pillow and in my bath water
