    Papilloma benign - treatment?

My wife has had a biopsy on a mammary papilloma. It was benign but they want her to see a surgeon anyway. Anyone else had experience with this? What treatment, if any, and the outcome? Thanks!

No experience but I read on Wikipedia that, once excised, recurrence is rare.

If the surgery is done properly, perhaps there will be a small scar. I suppose it also deoends on the size of the tumor as to whether there might be some other disfigurement.

Have a consultation with the surgeon before scheduling anything. Go in together with a list of questions. There are also many surgeons from which to choose. You might also inquire about focused ultrasound possibilities.
