Have you asked your onc for recommendations? I know there are drugs for neuropathy, but due to your kidney disease, not sure your body could handle. If not, maybe they can recommend physical therapy or some type of exercise you could do on your own. I have mild neuropathy and don't take any medicine for it. But, sometimes, my feet feel funny to walk. But, I do water aerobics for exercise, so at least if I fall, I can get up easily (the water is 4.5 feet deep).

High blood sugar levels in people with poorly controlled diabetes damage nerves. B12 or folate vitamin deficiencies can cause nerve damage and peripheral neuropathy. Drugs - such as some chemotherapy medication and medicines used to treat HIV can cause damage to peripheral nerves.
