Post Treatment Hernia Surgery
Hello,
I'm new here finished adjuvant chemo in October I was low grade stage 3B endometrial Ovarian it would of been Stage 2 but due to the size it was a 3. All is good Onc said I could have port taken out but have a few incisional hernias that have to be repaired I got a second opinion first Surgeon wanted to do open second one will start with Laparoscopy will do open if deemed necessary I have no idea why I'm hesitant about proceeding I breezed thru the hysterectomy chemo was not bad. I'm just alittle worried about the mesh and if repairing this will trigger anything I could wait but I guess they will get larger with time anyone out there have this type of repair shortly after treament completed? appreciatt it!

I'm not in your situation but just wanted to wish you all the best in making a decision. Get all the info you can, do your research so you can make an informed decision. That includes asking questions of the surgeon or any treating doctor. We need to self advocate!
