"Pre-Radiation/Treatment Dental Checkup" I was scheduled for one of these.

I'm not sure why, will there be treatment going on in or around my mouth? Why are they concerned about my teet, they are fine?

I was told that radiation to the head/neck area would cause tooth damage, but also that chemo could. Not for sure that it would, but "could".

I've heard radiation anywhere near the face/neck could damage teeth. I did chemo, not radiation, but I had both a dental and vision exam prior to starting treatment, just in case.

These days a dental checkup is part of it in the beginning. And yes radiation will damage your teeth. I lost all of my teeth. Chemo will damage them too.
