By the end of my radiation I had a seriously bad burn. Blisters. It HURT! I couldn't stand clothing against my skin and it was January in the Northeast. It intensified for several days AFTER treatment ended. I was at wits end until I had a (chemobrain delayed) brain storm. I had access to a product called Ferris Polymem, a wound dressing manufactured by Ferris Manufacturing
Corporation. I put a patch of it over the burn and held in place with a bandage around my chest. In three days the burn was gone!

I had 36 treatments to my neck. I didn’t burn until the end. It didn’t hurt as much as it was annoying. I told I was told to watch what I wore. He said not to wear anything that may scratch it in any way. I also had to be careful because it bled. They gave me creams which I guessed helped but mainly made stains on my tops. I noticed some others suggested some creams that are clear they may work better. But definitely mention to your center they always have good ideas. Wishing you all the best!
