    Radical Cystectomy experience

I was diagnosed w/stage 2 bladder cancer 12/24/12 and am currently half way through chemo. I will be having surgery after 4 months of chemo. I was told surgery would be about 6-8 hrs w/2 surgeons; 2 weeks hospitalized and an additional 8 weeks at home. I'm a little (ok, alot) apprehensive and wondering what I can expect in recovery. Has anyone been though this before? Thanks :)

I was diagnosed with bladder canacer on 12/21/11 and went through chemo and a radical cystectomy about this time last year. It is not easy, but you just get through this one day at a time. It takes a while to get back to a new normal (I have a urostomy), but I hope things go well for you.
