Ohhh my gosh! you poor thing.. I pray everything goes better this time for you.
I had my implants put in Dec. 27, 2012 they are still sore sometimes. My TE started shifting outward they say common so they messed with my chest muscles to bring implants closer.

In November 2011 I had a double mastectomy and opted not to start my reconstruction because they said I may have to have Radiation. In April of 2012 I had it done but 2mos later I has complications with the right side and 3mos later the other one had to be taken out now I have to start all over. Has anyone else had problems like this, with the skin being to thin? Now I am waiting for them to schedule reconstruction again this time they are going to take muscle and skin from my back and put it in the front to help with the thin skin they say I will be in allot of pain for about two weeks has anyone had this done? And how long did it take you to recover I know it's diffrent for each person but I am scared!

I understand the frustration of having to start over again. For me it was because of infection which caused an expander to be removed for two months. That was two surgeries I could have done without.
I have heard that any tissue transfer surgery is painful and requires a longer recovery. Make sure that you ask your doctor about any possible mobility issues resulting from the anticipated surgery.
I hope everything goes well for you this time with reconstruction. I have heard similar stories from ladies I have met at our local Cancer Support Community. I had silicone implants and nipple reconstruction surgery 7 days ago. My ps used alloderm and expanders directly after my double mastectomy in October. I finished radiation in January. I am very pleased with my ps so far. It's been a completely different recovery with this last surgery. I am driving and taking over the counter pain meds as needed. I pray that everything works out for you!
I just started reconstruction on February 15th. My Plastic Surgeon also told me my skin was thin and he was going to use AlloDerm (sterile skin) to form the pocket over the muscle to give the extra support needed because of my skin. When he got in he did not have to use the sterile skin and my expanders are behind the muscle. I got my final fill on March 6th for a total of 800cc and go back to him in April for him to check to see if I have stretched enough. He told me he thought I would need three months to stretch which would be May 15th, then back to surgery to exchange the TE's for silicone implants and some lyposuction. Then there will be a third surgery to get rid of the excess skin left from the skin sparring masctectomy. He will also tatoo the nipples then. The lypo will come from my back. I was uncomfortable for about 1 1/2 weeks after the final fill and now it is not so bad. Next week I find out the rest of the timetable!
