Thank you! My friend lives by himself and the family lives out of town. We are trying to figure out how best to help him and how to support him. It's my understanding that the last few weeks of radiation are very fatiguing. Any advice?

By the end of my 9 weeks of radiation, I was extremely fatigued. Luckily I had a supportive wife and family. If I were living alone like your friend, I think offering to go get him groceries, or help clean the house, or do his laundry and offering for him to take a nap would be very helpful and extremely hard for him to turn down. Just having people like you that care is so comforting. Knowing that necessary jobs are getting done while he's able to rest would put me out like a light. The comfort is knowing you care enough to do this for him. He will be eternally grateful. You sound like the kind of friends we all need. Best of luck to all of you.

Radiation treatment didn't lead to extreme fatigue in my case. To be safe, my wife drove me to and from the final few treatments but I exercise a lot and so it wan't really necessary.
