Recurrent Emdometrial cancer, presently in clinical trial. maintainance with Avastin.

Has anyone had positive response to any bone strengthening drug regiment?
I have recurrent endometrial cancer that is presently pushing on the iliac bone.
Due to bone loss I have a fracture that is slowly healing. The Ortho recommended Zometa, but I have heard it can have some bad side effects.
Has anyone come across similar issues?

      Hi naturegirl,

I am sure people will be weighing in soon. After reading your whole question I noticed that you were seeking feedback on Zometa. I entered "Zometa" in the search box next to Questions on the top right of this page and found we had several conversations about this drug. Here is the link: http://whatnext.com/questions?utf8=✓&question_query=zometa

I hope you'll find some helpful information in here.

      Thanks!

      Thank you Karen,
I found that helpful. So much to learn. I have been looking to find anyone else who has Endometrial cancer with a recurrence that may have mets to the bone. It is very unusual, it mostly happens with breast cancer and prostate cancer. I get a bit confused as to which category I should gear my questions to.
