I met with my medical oncologist this afternoon at long last. He felt the tumor and said he now agrees with radiation being our best and most expedient treatment plan.

It went far better than I anticipated it would, thank goodness.

The plan is for me to have 15 radiation treatments, wait a couple of weeks and then go back in to start back on immunotherapy.

At least you have a plan to go on, that's good news.

I already had the plan :) :) I just needed my medical oncologist to buy into the plan! I was really worried I might have to change doctors after having an awesome relationship with this doctor for 4+ years.

I'm so glad all the pieces are falling into place and that your team is now all on the same page. When do you start the radiation? I hope all goes well for you. I can't offer any advice 'cause I didn't do radiation...

I'm glad, too! And that you can retain your confidence and trust in him. And maintain your longstanding relationship. I know how important that was to me during my treatment. I hope your radiation treatments are as pain-free as possible, LWC.

I'm glad the doctor you have most confidence in is still part of your team and concurs with all other doctors. It is great when they all agree and can move towards treatment with a clear head.

@BuckeyeShelby, I start at 10 AM on Thursday. I will only have 15 treatments, or that is the current plan. I can't wait to get started!
