    Reoccurance after complete hysterectomy

    Anyone had cervical cancer come back after a complete hysterectomy

      There can be recurrence in the vacinity; however, with a complete hysterectomy, the cervix is removed, so should it recur it would be a metastasis to either a local area or a non regional site. However, with maintenence and surveillance, you have the ability to head off the problem before it gets to be a significant issue. Best of luck to you, Carm RN.

      They took all but my cervix. Scares me a little because I now found out I have the gene mutation. But, I focus on the positives, great oncologist, treatment & and every day God gives me. Try not to worry on what could happen. Focus on where you are at now & what you can do to beat your cancer! Hugs!
