    RIP Barry Boomer

I went on Barry's FB page tonight. Apparently, he passed away sometime in mid-November. I sure do hate to see that.

Eternal rest grant him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. In that same mercy grant the consolation of your Spirit to his loved ones in this, their time of sorrow. Amen.

I feel lost. He never had it easy. I always worried about him with the hurricanes.

Thanks so much for sharing. I was wondering about his absence lately. Well, I don't think he'd want us to be sad. I think he'd rather us have a drink in his memory...Ok, so I'm drinking cherry soda, but here's to you Barry!

Barryboomer was a fixture here on WhatNext. He never sugarcoated his opinions or advice. His frequent posts were many times full of salt and vinegar but always full of straightforwardness . Whether you agreed with him or not he spoke his mind and did things his way both on this site and in life. I respected that, and will miss him very much.

When someone passes that has walked this walk it always hits my core. Certainly some sadness, but it is the guilt that I survived that gets me. I always feel the need to take stock and say a few prayers of gratitude. RIP Barry Boomer.

And I found his straightforward philosophy inspiring.
He is alive with no more cancer.
