Scalp and eye lid inflammation

Scalp and eye lid inflammation
Can someone tell me if they had hair and eye lash problems when hair and eye lashes started growing back. I use head and shoulders for scalp, and eye lash scrubs ocusoft for eye lids. Seems to be working but wondering what others have done to control this and how long it last? I finished chemo about 6 weeks ago and I just want to make sure I am doing the right treatment. Thank you, Debbie

Hi Debbie, sounds like you figured out a solution to the problem. I didn't have any problem like that, but I'm sure others will share their experiences.

oh my gosh - when my eye lashes first started growing in, they were crazy curly and poked my eyeballs. it was a horrible feeling! it lets up. i didn't do anything. i just suffered through it. wow - though - my eyes were NOT HAPPY! lasted a couple of weeks, and then the eye lashes were long enough that they pointed AWAY from my eyeballs. definitely give a call to your health care team if something really seems off....

My hairdresser suggested that I use baby shampoo and that seemed to work well the first few months. Mine lasted for about six months or so.

Debbie, as a hair dresser for 33 yrs I would suggest you use a moisturizing shampoo rather than head and shoulders as I beieve your problem is dryness, mine was following chemo, and head and shoulders isa super drying product. I had chemo 4 yrs ago. I don't remember the itchy eyes but do the scalp. moisture is what you need tho. I loved my hair when it came back in....it eventually returned to its old not so great self but was fun for a while. :)

My head and eyelids itched when they were growing back. I used Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo - it helped the head. Didn't find anything to help the eyelids, just suffered thru it til it ended.
