    Scooters/Power Chairs

Has any of you had experience with the companies the advertise on TV for scooters and power chairs, which you can supposedly get for little or no cost if you're on Medicare?

Christian, thanks for the response, but since you're in NY and I'm in FL, that wouldn't work for me. Maybe someone else closer to you that needs it will see your response.

I have no direct experience with any of those companies. Is your concern finding the best fit for you or is your concern about it being 'little or no cost'? Do you have a home health organization in your area? Mine sells all kinds of medical supplies including the chairs/scooters. You might want to check to see if there is a local place near you. As far as the cost is concerned, Medicare will probably only pay 80% with the remainder as a co-pay or to be covered by supplemental insurance if you have it. I think this would apply regardless of where you purchase the equipment as long as it is deemed medically necessary.
