Self employed and have no insurance. Having to deal with county healthcare benefit eligibility.
Wife and I own a small franchise 3 years old, still not making any profit. Ran out of capital, living day to day off cash receipts. Was approved for "pending" 60 day coverage and learned of treatment plan this week...concurrent chemo/radiation...which will last 45 days in total but pending coverage ends in 20 days. I have supplied county with needed info to make final eligibility decision. I don't think they will drop me at this point but would like to know if I have any options.

Check with medical provider about charity care. If you will be disabled for a while, apply for SSI benefits. My hospital's social service was a big help with this. But my problem is that I still have no insurance.
