Should I make a list of questions for my husband to ask immediately after hysterectomy?

Will the surgeon probably cover anything we could think of to ask?

It never hurts to ask questions, but I agree, the surgeon may not know everything right away. You should always bring your list of questions to each doctor appointment though and try to bring someone with you. Good luck to you!

My surgeon also spoke with my husband after surgery and just gave general "things went very well" comments to him. I knew my surgeon would see me the next day before I was discharged and I asked my more detailed questions then. Good luck and you are in my thoughts and prayers for a positive outcome and a speedy recovery!

Yes if you have any questions at all, make a list. I have been through over 20 surgeries and I can say that even for several days after surgery your husband will understand and remember things much better than you will. Never assume the Dr. won't have answers right after surgery. He can't read your mind and may not cover everything you want to know. If it's too soon to know the answer he will tell you/your husband that . Never never never. hesitate to ask any question. It's your health, your body and YOUR life.
