    So emotional right now

This is what is going on... the PET scan showed cancer not on or in my lungs but around my lungs between my brest bone the pulmonary doctor is calling me a rare case...if I did not have thyroid cancer they would say I have lymphoma however since I do have thyroid cancer they cannot say what it is. I have my biopsy set for next Tuesday morning. So many emotions right now. Is there anyone with a similar situation?

Hugs, BunnyBunz13! I hope they get some answers when you get your biopsy. I think the not knowing is hardest. Once you know what you're up against and have a plan, you can put your fighting gloves back on. Try not to despair in the meantime!

Hugs! They won’t know anything until the pathology report is done from the biopsy, it could be your thyroid cancer but it could be other things as well. I hate the waiting for answers and all the confusion that goes along with the waiting, and I wish that I could be there and hold your hand and give you a hug! HUGS!!!! Just hang in there, you will know soon enough and then you can deal with whatever is going on. Good luck to you and God bless!

I can't say I'm in a very similar situation, but I get the whole mysterious condition that you are waiting on test results for. It's terrifying!
I am sending positive vibes and hugs your way :)

You could have 2 different primary cancers, as I did. I had uterine cancer and during a follow-up pet scan, they found the thyroid cancer, but my pcp had found it before I went in for the uterine cancer treatment. I just didn't have the time to have it checked out, but it was found anyway. They were 2 completely different treatments and both are in remission now. So, keep your hope up.

      I love this:
May love surround you like a warm soft blanket. May you breathe peace into your very soul. Deep peace of the shining stars to you, deep peace of the rustling trees to you, deep peace of the running waves to you. Deep peace of the prince of peace to you.

This community is the best. When I was waiting for test results a few months ago, the positive responses helped me get through the waiting. The not knowing what you are dealing with is hard. I have 2 different cancers, plus had a melanoma, plus 2 other skin cancers. You deal one day at a time. Sending hugs.

BunnyBunz, I'll echo a lot of the remarks above. Take yourself a HUG, the waiting for answers is terrible, causes me the most anxiety. While you wait, I pray for a moment of peace in your soul. When the news comes back, I pray for the best news possible for you. Hang in there.
