    Some good information sites

    Cancer commons .com
    Collabrx .com
    Lets test now.com

I have posted these sites before but just in case.

Both of these sites are building information which will include data and updates on treatment options and clinical trial search information. Its becoming more common to treat cancers based upon the mutation versus where in the body the cancer began.

By next year sequencing will be able to look at over 1,000 possible mutations. Then that data will go into he Watson IBM computer and determine ( in a very short time) if we have existing drugs to treat or what kind of drugs would treat and kill the mutations or the combination of mutations or re program those tumor suppressor genes to turn on again.

if cancer was not such a beast this would be pretty cool stuff. But its really going to change the way cancer is treated and research is done. There is so much reason for hope.
