Asked by dkezerian on Thursday, June 4, 2015

i was diagnosed about 1 week ago. i have an appointment for a surgery consultation in 9 days. no one has told me anything, except that i do have cancer. i have my results from the biopsy, but i'm not sure what it all means. it says invasive ductal carcinoma poorly differentiated. then it says :tumor grade(invasive) poorly differentiated, mBR Gradelll/lll(mBR score9/9) Tubele formation 3/3 Nuclear grade 3/3 Mitotic activity 3/3. does anyone have any idea what stage i'm in? shouldn't i have an onocologist yet?

I had a lumpectomy done a wk ago and results are Invasive ductal carcinoma grade 3 and carcinoma in situ grade 3, am set up with consult with surgeon in 3 days. Think after that oncology.....I have been reading alot of info on this site, some helpful, some overwhelming ......right now still having quite a time digesting the diagnosis. Guess this isnt an answer, just a statement

Ndgirl, one step at a time, and don't panic. I remember the first walk into oncology, and how it felt -- but usually the people there are terrific, and when you have your treatment plan, you will feel so much better. Hugs to you.
