Surgery and swelling

Surgery and swelling
Has anyone experienced swelling of the abdomen and ankles post operative? I had a lumpectomy, axillary lymph node dissection and a chest port put in on December 12th and I've noticed that my ankles are both swollen and that my abdomen is bulging. I've taken gas pills to see if it was bloating and no change. My hands are not swollen, nor my feet or toes. Just the ankles and the abdomen.
I am on Seroquel xr for bipolar disorder which can cause weight gain, gas and bloating. But, I did not notice this before surgery. Wondering if I should call the surgeon and bother going in. I have an appt on the 6th with him and don't want to go there to be told its nothing to worry about.
Just curious is anyone has had this problem?

I would talk to your doctor to about it. I had swelling in my ankles after my last chemo and my doctor sent me immediately to get a sonogram of the veins of my legs to make sure I didn't have Deep venous thrombosis (blood clot in legs). Luckily I didn't have it.
