    Taking Arimidex --

Has anyone been advised by their Oncologist on the taking of Arimidex? For example: Is morning or evening better? Empty stomach -- before meal? -- after meal? Is it okay to take along with your other prescriptions and vitamins/supplements? I just want to get full benefit. Thanks to everyone for your support and help. Because of the info on this site, I avoided bone pain after the Neulesta shot by taking Claritin.

My oncologist said any time of day is ok but to take it about the same time every day. It can be taken with or without food or other medications or supplements. I take mine in the morning, with coffee but before breeakfast and along with my other meds and my morning supplements.

Hi - I was told I could take Arimidex at any time - with or without food. The most important thing was to take it at about the same time each day. Since it seems to make me sleepy, I take it at night.

Hi Jenny, it is so good to reconnect with you. I have thought of you often and wondered how you are doing now.
I started taking Arimidex about 6 weeks ago and have been taking it in the morning with my other meds and supplements and without food. I have not had a problem taking it this way. Often it is on an empty stomach. My oncologist also said to take it any time but at the same time each day. I'm wondering about when side effects begin. My oncologist confirmed there will be some but not when. Would love to connect with you outside the listserve.

      Take very good care.

I took mine in the evening, kept the flashes down to a minimum. I took it with all the other pm pills I had with no problems.
