Can someone with multiple myeloma go to tanning beds?

No one should go to tanning beds.

If you need a reason why, check out the number of people on this board, myself included, dealing with melanoma. The sun is sadistic, tanning beds are masochistic, and using one is asking for trouble.

They don't call them "sun coffins" for nothing. No one in their right mind should spend time in a tanning bed.

Please stay out of Tanning beds. Plus they are filled with germs. I just read that spray tans can cause Lung Cancer because the particles are inhaled much like asbestos.

Seriously, if having a tan is so important to you then you aren't so concerned about being healthy. Your vanity might get in the way. I live in Florida and I get plenty of color just going in and out of my car, walking around with friends, etc. and unless you live in the Northern territories you will also. Give it up for all those who love you and want you around for a very long time.

I guess I worded my question wrong. This is the first time I've asked the network a question. To be honest I knew the answer was no but was too embarrassed to ask my doctors a silly question. My daughter was driving me crazy asking me to go to the tanning bed since she loves going. I've lectured her til I'm blue in the face, so I wanted to have people answer to show her not only bad for me but for her also. So thank you for ALL your responses .
