    TChp and herpercinChemo

How. Do they know if it’s working. Had a lumpectomy 2 weeks ago due to start chemo soon. 6 rounds of TChp 6;times every 3 week

And then the Herceptin is done by itself every three weeks for the rest of the year. This part isn't as bad as the whole TCH cocktail, and the only side effect was headaches. And your heart has to be monitored during treatments. If your numbers go down, they take you off for a month, retest with EKG and then back to treatments. Hopefully your numbers go back up.
Cancer is a crazy lifestyle for the next year. Hugs as you start this journey.

It is also the standard of care for HER2+ breast cancer. Herceptin was a blessing to those of us who are HER2+ and it was only discovered about 15 years ago. I did not receive scans during or after my treatment but meet with my oncologist every 6 months - I am 4 years post treatment. There are certain symptoms that they look for and will have you look for post treatment, but happily I am here and kicking. The chemo was not fun, but it is survivable and the Herceptin by itself was a walk in the park. I didn't have headaches, just a bit of a runny nose and my MUGA scan for my heart remained good. Wishing you the best.
