    Things we find ourselves thinking.

When I was diagnosed a year ago I was thinking, "If I could only live long enough to ________.

The first thing I thought of was living long enough to see how the 2012 election turns out.
Now I think I'd like to live long enough to be a burden to my children, after I spend their inheritance.

LOL...good answer. I hope to live long enough to see my children as adults, and to get to know my grandchildren. Not that I'm rushing my kids. My daughter is 18 and my son 15.

HAHAHAHA! Love it! :D About your kids. :) And I agree with wvgal. I hope to live long enough to see my grandchildren as well. My kids are only 11 and 13 so we got a long way to go. :)

After being diagnosed 3 times, and losing my Mom and Dad, within 10 months of each other to cancer, my wife and I started volunteering with Relay For Life. I find myself now hoping I live long enough to be a part of helping find a cure.

I hope all people live long enough to figure out what they're living long enough for.

After living 35+ years with severe chronic pain due to spinal cord injury from an auto accident, having liver failure 2X, and being comatose on advanced life support for 45 days, also being revived 5 times in 3 days at one point, and having multiple organ failure due to complications from pneumonia, now that I've received a diagnose with cancer 3 or 4 days ago that will require chemo, radiation and surgery, I find myself really wondering why and how I'm still alive. My wife claims she, my son and 2 grandchildren still need me to be in their lives. I believe that I must have been on EVIL S.O.B. in a prior life. (talk about bad karma!!!)
