I believe it is possible. I am not sure how or why or when. My dad came to see me after he passed away so I know there is something after we die, but exactly what is the great mystery. Perhaps it is possible to be reborn. We can't really know until we get there IMHO.

I like the view that we (and every living thing) are reborn from stars. That the earliest stars in the universe went nova as a natural part of their life cycle, yielding heavier elements and so on and eventually yielding carbon, the main building block of life as we know it. I know that after death, my ashes (if I am cremated as I wish to be) will provide nourishment, and that if my wishes are respected as much of me as possible will be recycled (i.e., organs donated) prior to cremation. That is one kind of rebirth. As for the spirit, who knows? More and more, discoveries in quantum physics point to a multiverse. The physical laws we know might not be the only ones in existence.

The quiz said I had had 155 previous lives and most of them human. Enough already !!! Next time I am coming back as a spoiled house cat. Or maybe Comfort Dog. I had thought about a Mama Grizzle also sleeping through the winter and dining on salmon and huckleberries is not a bad life.
Gorillas, baboons, and Chimps are too much like humans.
On a more serious level I personally believe that when we die we are judged on our life. If we have been good we are admitted to heaven where we are as happy as our level of goodness permits. If we are bad we go to H-e-l-l where we are punished according to our deeds in this life.
I personally don't believe that I am going to make the cut. I am working for a higher level of H-e-l-l.

I sure don't. I believe it's one life to each customer, and once the brain dies, it's curtains. My take on reincarnation is: no one ever, from what I've heard, says that her previous life was spent as a turnip.

So I'll see you in Heaven....

It's odd, I met a man. We began talking--we found out that we had several shared past experiences in past lives--we weren't royalty either. He remembered being wounded and in an ox cart. I asked him if it was his leg, during Napoleon's invasion of Russia. He said- No- They were fleeing the Russians, trying to get back to France. He remembered being with a married woman quite often. I said that he was much younger, and I was ugly. I said that we met when I was pregnant and he told me the child had died in birth. He felt sorry for me, because my husband was so uncaring-cold, so he started talking to me-then we became the best of friends.
We decided that maybe the next life-----who knows. It's just odd. Why not say the American revolutionary War or one of the many wars between germans states? they used ox carts for those wars.

Yes, I believe in reincarnation but not in transmigration of souls. This means we do not come back as lesser beings or animals but as human beings.. Think of the cycles of nature, how in the fall life seems to die and is reborn in the spring. I believe we are all sparks that are part of God and all of us are yearning to become one with Him. We are born to learn lessons that we have agreed to before our birth. This can explain why bad things happen to good people. I believe in Yeshua (Jesus) the Way-shower, Light of the World, and Savior of souls. Before Constantine made scripture to fit his mind-set, there was belief in reincarnation but these were editied out and made forbidden. God's gift of his only Son, has given us direct access to God.

I've been recycled. I'll be recycled again. It's not that I don't believe in "Heaven", although that's not what I call it. I believe we spend a time regrouping. Figuring out what we learned in past lives, in this life and what we need to work on in the next one. And that there is choice on whether to return and when. I definitely don't check any of the regular boxes when asked about my religious beliefs. My key belief is that we are all ultimately going to the same place -- we are just taking different paths to get there.

NO! I believe in the Bible and what is says about us as human beings. God created man from the dust of the earth. We did not evolve from monkeys or anything other kind of life form. I also do not believe in reincarnation because the Bible says when Christ comes to take His bride (the church) home out of this world that will be it. The earth will be destroyed when that happens. That is His second coming. His first coming was when he was born. For God (the spirit) manifested himself in flesh so that he could put His word on this earth for us to live by. You can find that in John chapter 1. He is also the one who calls us out of worldly living to live Godly lives. He is now weeding His church of those who chose not to live for Him. Indication of the end times. The only way to salvation is Acts 2:38. Receiving the Holy Ghost is also part of the salvation plan. So if I believe in the Bible then how I can possibly believe that there will be a second life, reincarnation? n I can't.

I just have a hard time believing every single thing in the Bible....Too many different people had their hands in changing and massaging different messages. I respect people's opinions and how it makes them feel but for myself I JUST Find Some of the things ludicrous. There is a Cycle of life that I see all around me and an Invisible Hand in all this Life. I see a design in all living things and IF there is a Design there Must be a Grand Designer (GOD) Nobody knows what is going to happen BUT FOR SURE we ALL Will....lol A lot of people are going to be proved right and a lot wrong and it will SURE Be interesting.

The Adam and Eve Story about eating from the tree is ridiculous as NOBODY was there except the two of them. How does anybody else know this happened. BTW.....maybe they had the right idea of eating real food from a Living Tree. Who knows who wrote all this stuff and it's probably just like nursery rhymes. I respect those who believe it as the truth but nobody knows. I guess that's what faith is BELIEVE what you want to without any evidence. It idea that GOD who designed the Rose, a Bird, the Wind, US and the DNA Molecule Put the entire planet that HE designed into some kind of original Sin and HE couldn't think of any other idea to fix that except to have his only son slaughtered on a cross with criminals is preposterous. JUST MY Take on it and would never belittle others from believing what they want....but it sounds to me and my commons sense ludicrous. We are ALL God's Children living our Journey here and then we move on.

Barryboomer, the Bible was written by godly men as God gave them the words. The only true Bible is the King James Version. All others have been written and rearranged by man. And God said in Revelation 22:18&19, "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book. If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues (which are problems of life that you can't get out of) that are written in this book. 19)And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. So how can you believe there is a God and not believe his word? Adam and Eve were beguiled by the serpent (who was the angle God cast out of heaven) which we now know is Satan or the Devil however you want to see him. He lies and is the father of lies. Adam and Eve were created to worship God and they were innocent of all things evil until Eve was beguiled by the devil. Adam knew better, but she convinced him to eat of the forbidden fruit. Humanity lost any hope of salvation in the garden and Jesus regained our hope of salvation in a garden. The old testament is the new testament concealed and the new testament is the old testament revealed. Salvation lies in Acts 2:38 and no where in the King James version of the Bible do you find anyone being baptized other than in the NAME of Jesus. Isasunflower, you are correct in many ways of what you said about death. You are very close to the truth of what God put in his word and you have a good understanding of it. We could go on forever arguing about who is right and who is wrong, but that will get none of us anywhere unless we ourselves read the true word of God and live accordingly. If you have a hungry heart God will reveal his word unto you. I was reading years ago in the book of Genesis and it was the passage where God told Abraham to take his only son Isaac, whom he promised to him, and since Abraham believed God he knew that he would be coming down from the mountain he was told to go to with his son. When Isaac asked his father where the sacrifice was he said, "God will provide himself a sacrifice." You know the rest of the story, but what was opened to me was that fact that God was going to manifest himself in flesh and become the sacrifice for all mankind. That is what I believe and nothing else makes sense to me because I chose to live the way God intended for us to live.

Oh and Jesus said, "those who hath seen me hath seen the father. I and my father are one." God manifested himself in flesh so that he could go to calvary and take away the sins of the world and give us new hope for salvation. There is a lake of fire that will one day receive those who did not live according to God's word and the XXX referred to now is the worlds humanity. Take a look around you sometime or when you watch the news or read a news paper you find sin everywhere and just when you think that it can't get any worse along comes someone else who does something so evil that we cannot believe that it could happen in our lifetime. Jeffrey Damer's sin was sickening and I thought it couldn't get any worse, but then you read of more death and brutality and it is just getting worse. I am not trying to force anyone into believing what I believe and I am not trying to offend anyone. It is just the way I believe and live and I wanted to share that with those who do believe there is a God. Please do not take any offense to what I have said because I said with love and not with a know-it-all attitude.

I know and have known many people of the Jewish faith that believe in reincarnation. That surprised me, yet Christianity is based on Judaism. As a young feminist, I said-what we're reading is a translation of a translation of a translation. Can we really be sure that St. Paul said this or that? I was questioning a woman's role in this world. As a Christian, I believe that Christ is the Lamb of God. That and death are the only things I know for sure-for Barry's sake-- taxes too.

If some one says "I believe" in front of a statement that statement is absolutely right for them. If they can back it up with facts and logic so much the better. If you have a conflicting belief and you state it with whatever facts and logic you have. You both are RIGHT because you have stated what you BELIEVE

I was supposed to fly on a really trashed plane. The people at the desk said- vacuum it up and pick up the paper. They couldn't understand that cleaning was put off because lawyers and inspectors had to go through and supervise. Spring breakers tore out and ripped seats, tore up the bathrooms, etc. The Japanese desk personnel learned that American "Trashed" and "Totally trashed" means that carpet and seats have to be replaced, new wall paneling has to be put in. That reconnecting the TVs on the back of the seat can knock out the plan'es navigation system, that these electronic problems caused engine problems. The Japanese women were saying- "why didn't you tell us it was that bad?" and the Americans were saying- "We told you it was totally trashed" Either way, the plane wasn't fit to fly and had to be fixed. One not so much and the other was a major overhaul. Something was lost in the translation between 2 different languages and cultures. I think that the Bible is like that-then we aren't 1 AD Greeks, Romans, or Hebrews. Neither were the Elizabethan English that translated the latin, Greek, and Hebrew into the King James version, and there are other English translations around.

I had an odd experience---that's all I can say about it. I know that there are other beliefs, and variations of what I believe. Beyond that, I can't say or know anything.
