    unilateral mastectomy

I wanted to ask how the side that did not undergo a mastectomy might respond to all the surgery on the other side with reconstruction. Whether that side might change in some way?

If I'm understanding your question, the only thing I was faced with was that the side that had surgery/reconstruction was lifted and firm therefore my PS gave me the option to do the same with the other side. Since I am not blessed to be very endowed and my surgeon did a wonderful job matching them, I was completely satisfied the way it was.

If you don't do anything to the unaffected side it will grow as normal - changes in weight will make it do whatever Mother Nature wants. I had a left side mastectomy and the only thing that happened through my treatment was when I did reconstruction my PS did some revision on the right side to "even them up" but my affected side had some problems with radiation and we didn't go as large an implant as we should have. So now I wear a mastectomy bra with an insert to "even the girls" as much as I can. I second surgery is not on my calendar.
