    Unknown type of cancer

I have metatastic cancer of the spine. I had breastfeeding cancer a few years ago. This is not the same type as the original cancer. They can't find out what type it is, therefore treatment is limited. Does anyone else have a similar issue? Thanks

I have heard of this before, where they don't know where the primary cancer is. Have you had a petscan?

Two and I am going for one today. This has been going on since Feb. 2014. The doctor said there is 5 to 10 percent of patients that fall into this category. Yes I had a second opinion same answer. Thank you for responding

We'll pray for you. I've heard of this, read about it. I can't say more than this.

By the way, you got to love that auto correct. I had typed in breast cancer and it changed it.
Oh well it was good for a laugh. Have a good day everyone!

I wish I could help you, but healing prayers your way is the best I can do! I had to make a emotionally charged decision myself yesterday, more chemo or keep up my faith until God feels its time. My last to chemo infusion showed no progress. God Bless!!

My smart phone finally recognizes coonhound and Bluetick. -grandson maybe. I have an app to call or text him so I can nag him. I want a new message. and it pulls up every contact with a g in the name- but not my grandson----ridiculous--- I have more reason to start a new conservation with him-like his doctor's appt was rescheduled, can he pick up some rolls on the way home, than I do in talking about coonhounds of Instagram.

Thank you karinfellows. It sounds like you have been on quite a journey. Did you decide to do more chemo? I will pray for you and if I can help you in any way, please let me know.

Thank you Wildwoman. Yes it has been a journey of emotionally and physical ups and downs. My decision is to leave it in the hands of God and guide me til the end. Am I ready? No! but this is the best I can do for now. Thank you for your prayers. I will do the same for you or anything else I can do!

Karinfellows. I am sure you have plenty of friends and family but I sincerely will be here to give you support, laughter or tears together. No one is ever truly ready but I will pray that you get peace and strenght. I may be saying the wrong thing, but I am sincere. I think if you are strong enough you should continue to share your journey. Most people the biggest fear is not knowing what will happen next. Take care

Wildwoman, my sister's best friend has "Cancer, Unknown Primary." She had her tumor removed several years ago. Although she worries, she's pretty much gone back to her normal life, which is what her doctors told her to do.

I did a search and found some National Cancer Institute information about unknown primaries, and It has more places to click on, including a Clinical Trial list. Since your doctor has your medical records, you should ask him all your questions until you understand, because his answers would be specific to YOUR health. Here's the link to the information: http://www.cancer.gov/types/unknown-primary

If you have a fear of your future, you might like one of the many books written by people who say they went to Heaven after stopping breathing. Best wishes to you and to all of us.

Thank you BarbarainBhan! Hi everone. I have laid low the last few days. I had a pet scan that showed I should have a ct scan. Then I was advised to have a biosey. Needless to say I have been nervous. However yesterday I got great news, no evidence of lymphoma! Hello Karinfellows. I have been thinking about you. Everyone have a good day.

I like my CY scans, a lot quicker. I'm glad that things are moving along for you, instead of being in limbo---not knowing what's happening-waiting and waiting.
