Update on my situation and wedding!

The wedding went off smoothly. I've been the hospital since last Thursday due to low blood pressure and fluid build up on left lung. Been confined to a wheelchair...but they released me 30 before the wedding to walk the her down the isle.....yes I walked her! Immediately back at hospital in Vandy. Pics coming! They just removed 3 1/2 lbs of fluid from left lung. Prayers are needed. Love my WhawNext family....updates in more details soon!

Congratulations on your daughter's wedding Keith. I'm happy to hear that you were able to walk her down the aisle. Buddha had a saying that I hope I'm repeating correctly but it went something like - those who think they are able, are able.

I'm very sorry to hear that you're having some challenges right now. It's very obvious that you have a strong fighting spirit, so hang tough. You will overcome this obstacle. Prayers are going out

Thanks everyone....I feel my life is complete..... As for as my situation....they haven't discovered the source of the fluid....estimate 50-60% blood. I can breath much better. I miss being on here...but will try to check in each day once if possible. Take care!

Goal met. Time to set the next goal, like maybe feeling better and getting sprung from that hospital. Sounds like a good short term goal. Take care and feel better.

Glad they authorized "work release" from your confinement.

Now, about those nasty fluids. If you are a candidate for a Pleurx catheter, it is a wonderful system for you to keep fluids drained at home without having to be hospitalized. There's a surgery to insert the tube that comes out of your chest, and it is easy for non-squeamish friends and family to learn the sterile procedure required to drain the fluids every day or every other day - whatever is needed. I have helped drain four different people including my mother, and they all benefited greatly.
