      I don't remember being asked ... we don't do much gift exchange in my family. If we want it and can afford it, we already have it ... if we can't afford it, we still can't afford it at Christmas, birthday, anniversary ... whatever.

      The older I get and the more life experiences I go through, though, makes me realize just how unimportant things are ... I'd much rather have family, friends, church, faith ... than a million dollars.

      I would love to have help in getting back and forth to treatments and doctor visits. Gas cards would be great!

      As someone else said, I don't need anymore stuff. Also, I too like to splurge on a few favorite foods that are normally out of my price range. But mostly I would like to get together with my family (aka "the Bickersons") with mutual respect and kindness and none of the usual constant sniping. Difficult to listen to under "normal" circumstances but I find now intolerable.
