    Weight Loss after Chemo

I had my last chemo on October 17, 2013. I'm currently in remission but now I'm trying to lose some weight that I gained due to the steroids. I'm getting frustrated because I can't lose weight. I've lost 3lbs in 6weeks and I'm working out and eating healthy. Does anyone have any tips? Please help! :-)

My biggest piece of advice is to be kind to your body, give it some time to rest. I gained 30 lbs during my treatments, I let my body rest for a year, and then did weight watchers and yoga. I lost 37 lbs from Jan. to June. So be patient, your body has been through a lot

GeeGee07, thanks for raising this question - I'm finding the answers very helpful. I strongly agree with HeidiJo's comment above. I am nearly done with treatment and need to lose a few pounds (they were there before I started treatment). When treatment is over I'm not going to put a lot of pressure on myself about it, but I am going to resume using LoseIt!. http://www.loseit.com/ I found this free ap very helpful. It's not for everyone because it involves tracking what you eat. However, I don't have a problem with that and it has really worked well for me in the past. Take care and best of luck.
