    What a Surprise

The State of Texas has been considering a bill called Cancer Research and Prevention in Texas (CPRIT). My state representative voted for the bill so I wanted to thank her for her support. I wasn't having an easy time figuring out how to contact her, so I ended up sending her a message off of Facebook yesterday.

I had a personal response from her today that made it obvious she had read what I wrote and telling me I was in her prayers. I didn't vote for her ... but I bet I do next time. (I didn't vote for either my state representative or senator but I probably WILL vote for both of them next time around. I have been impressed with both of them.)

Occasionally, they will vote for some things that help all people regardless of if they can get something in return for their vote. It's nice to see.

I ended up having a long conversation with her on Messenger. At least when it comes to cancer issues, she's a definite supporter! I am very impressed with her and will definitely use that mode to get in touch with her the next time I hope to get her to vote for something I support!!
