What is CEA marker?
Asked by akiko on Thursday, May 24, 2012
What is CEA marker?
I keep hearing CEA marker by people but my oncologist never mentioned about this. What is CEA marker? How I can find out? Is it an effective measurement of cancer treatment progress?

I've never heard about it before either but did a web search and found the following website with information about it: http://www.webmd.com/cancer/carcinoembryonic-antigen-cea . If you put "cea marker cancer" into your web browser you can find more websites about it.

It is only relevant to certain types of cancer. I would certainly ask your oncologist about it, but it may not be a useful indicator for you particular type of cancer.
