What is the difference between a basosquamous cell cancer and a nodule basal cell cancer?

I have been told on different occassions that I have either/or. It seems like I can't get a straight answer from my Dermatologist's office. Then I saw an oncologist and he said it's a basal cell cancer, but on a prescription for a chest x-ray, it said malignant melanoma. Why the confusion? I just want a straight answer.

I don't have the answer to that question, but here is a link to a page on the American Cancer Society's website that might be able to help. http://bit.ly/Ol5Qpt If that doesn't answer your question, to the right of that page you will see a place where you can initiate a live chat with an ACS specialist who might be able to help you. Please keep us posted!
