I am on Stivarga right now. It is a very new drug just being approved by the FDA last September. The stasticial measures of a drugs success are kind of hard to understand and often need interpertation. One also needs to remember that the people in trails often have advanced deseasae that has not responded to anything else and are often the sickest. That said the average survuval time only increased by a couple of months in the trials; however, what may be a more importan measeure is the one year survival rate was up significantly from the low 20% range to the Mid 30% range. To me this is a more important number because it really helped the people that it helped even if it did not help everyone. Good Luck

I am on second month and adverse effects tolerable so far, I note the 6.4 versus 5 months survival median with the Stivarga trial.
Can anyone point to the one year survival figures I have not seen these.
      Thanks Brian Pound
