I felt better after 2 weeks when they took the drain tubes out. I choose not to do reconstruction. The scars do not bother me any longer. The area has nerve damage and I do not like to wear bras or anything that is very tight around my scars. I am flat and at first I was self conscious. Then I thought I live in California no one would probably look at me if I walked around with fried eggs on my head. Get better, best wishes! Lisa

Not sure exactly what you want to know. I had a r mastectomy in September and did immediate reconstruction. As lisahal said, the worst was while the drains were in. Still getting used to having no feeling in the surgical area.
