I took Sutent for 7 month - in[phone number redacted]. Because it is an oral medication it doesn't affect your energy as much as infusions do. My energy was at about 85%-90% of normal. I was still able to do work but I was much more tired at the end of the day, and needed to cut back on other things.

The side effects I had were:
mouth sores which we managed with Magic Mouth wash.
      high triglycerides
High BP - I was already had this condition and was on a low dose medication to control it, we needed to increase it slightly I went from 25mg to 50mg of atenolol

Each person is different so your experiences may be different than mine.

My husband did two rounds with sutent. He was able to continue to work, but was weakened by the drug and did miss some work. He did not have problems with mouth blisters, but he had considerable problems with digestion and neuropathy in his feet. We were able to find shoes that made his ability to walk with much less pain. He found that Kellogg's liquid supplement in Chocolate was helpful when he could not eat meals. He preferred it over the other supplements, but I think that was his personal choice.
