      Your stats are based on your medical records, so you need to ask your doctor what the statistical difference would be for YOU. Obviously they help, so it also depends on whether you want to do everything you can to prevent its return.

      That said, I didn't take Tamoxifen because of mood swings, and I've had no recurrence since 2001 when i was Stage I and had a lumpectomy.

      You can go to www.predict.nhs.uk. Using version 2.0, you can plug in your info and get that answer. It gives 5 and 10 year survival info with and without hormone therapy or chemo.

      I am at the end of my five years of taking Arimidex. My doc said that there are studies that say taking it for ten years can help keep the cancer away. By taking it, it helps keep breast cancer and other cancers away. So I will be taking the drug for five more years.

      I also have been on Arimidex for 6 years but tumor markers just went from 24 to 91 so now on Ibrance and hope they lower them. so far all its lowering is white blood cells.Sure hope it works .
