What to expect?
My husband has stage 4 colon and was told about a month ago he could have approximately 4 months to live going by the rate of progression of the cancer in the last 6 weeks. I want to know what to expect so I can make him as much as I can...this is so devasting!! I feel so helpless!

Sorry to hear of your Horror. I'm a little confused.....did they say that anymore chemo etc. won't help anymore? Have you called a local Hospice YET....? They will come out the house and talk to you and THEY are ANGELS in Human Bodies.....Very good at pain management. Supply great air beds free...and all kinds of great meds and spiritual help with for him AND you.
Have you gotten any other opinions yet?
Is he a total Vegan all raw foods....Have you been to Chris Wark's Site Chris Beat Cancer....have you guys read the amazing book RADICAL REMISSION....have you checked out any of the anticancer supplements....? Go to PubMed and look them up....It ain't over till it's over. Good Luck.....You can do all I suggest here while having Hospice Care help with pain etc...Call tomorrow.

He was diagnosed January 2013 with stage 3. He did rounds of chemo until 2014 of November but the cancer went into his lung and liver anyways. The oncologist told us the chemo wasn't helping and referred him to Md Anderson.. My husband did a clinical trial but still the cancer progressed into his bones. He's been seen by 3 oncologist. 2 of them have told him that he's not heathy enough for anymore chemo... The 3rd one could possibly come up with a phase 1 trial. As it is now he has to walk with a cane because he's so weak. Among other nasty side effects from all the previous chemos .. He has neuropathy and high blood pressure and takes meds to control it plus pain meds that sometimes doesn't seem to help at times. If he takes stronger pain meds than he already is he stays sedated and sleeps constantly which leaves him no quality of life. He is hoping for a phase 1 clinical trial. We've had hospice at our home and we were told until he agrees to no more chemo hospice can't help him.
