What treatment options are there for neuroendocrine carcinoma?

We just learned that our father has this. We don't know what to do next. Who do we need to speak to?

Several factors will determine appropriate treatment, including its location, invasiveness, hormone secretion, and metastasis. I'm not sure what you mean when you ask what you need to do next or who you need to speak to? Are you looking for general information about the disease? Or are you asking what your father should do? He should see an oncologist if he hasn't already.

My brother was diagnosed with a poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma last May/June and I know a bit about this now. Do you know if it is poorly differentiated or if it is a carcinoid? Did they say it was like small cell but not really small cell? I'm happy to help and talk you through next steps if I can, but I only know a specific type which again is poorly differentiated and is treated different than the other. Its a difficult time, please let me know if I can help answer questions.
